Troubleshooting Issues Sending And Receiving Email

Please keep the instructions below for details on how to setup and use your new account

Webmail access:

To access your email from anywhere, simply login to Webmail and access all your local folders, messages, contacts, calendar and more. Bookmark your Webmail URL in your browser

To setup your email client You can choose either IMAP or POP3 access

For POP3 setup:

 
Incoming server name:                       pop.volcano.net
Incoming port:                                    110
Outgoing server name:                       mail.volcano.net
Outgoing port:                                    25 (587 for mobile devices)
Username:                                          your full email address
Authentication method:                      Password/Normal Password/Password Transmitted Insecurely
Outgoing (SMTP) server requires authentication. in enabled
 
 
If prompted for the following settings,
 
Secure Password Authentication is not required
Security Type/Connection Security is “none”
SSL is not used for either incoming or outgoing mail
 

For IMAP setup:

 
Incoming server name:                       imap.volcano.net
Incoming server port:                         143
Outgoing server name:                       mail.volcano.net
Outgoing port:                                    25 (587 for mobile devices)
Username:                                          your full email address

Do You Have All Your Ducks In A Row?

"On your mark, get set, go!". The ducks are once again preparing to head down the creek in an effort to raise money to support many non-profit organizations throughout Amador County. This annual event will take place this Saturday, April 26th, from 9am to 4:30pm. The Great Sutter Creek Duck Race is a hometown tradition. It is an event where families can enjoy the beautiful outdoors in a small town. There will be lots of fun FREE games for the kids to play.

Heartbleed Bug

As many of you may have heard, a new Internet vulnerability, called Heartbleed, has been getting a lot of media attention over the last couple of days. Heartbleed is a serious defect in OpenSSL, the open-source software widely used to encrypt and protect communications on the Internet. This flaw has affected a large proportion of the Web servers on the Internet.

Volcano Communications has been working diligently to assess the impact of Heartbleed for our customers.  We are satisfied that all customer interfaces, both internal and those that rely on third-parties, are secure.
