Volcano Telephone Company and Volcano Vision is proud to participate in the National FCC Emergency Broadband Benefit Program (EBB). You could be eligible for a discount up to $49.95 per month towards broadband service.

 

                       PROGRAM DETAILS

•  The program start date is effective May 12, 2021

•  The Emergency Broadband Benefit is limited to one service discount per eligible household monthly.

•  If applicable, you can combine this benefit with your Federal Lifeline benefit. 

•  Serviceability may depend on your location. 

•  Monthly internet service discounts will be provided for as long as the program allows. Once the program has ended, standard internet service rates, terms and conditions apply.

The EBB Program is a temporary subsidy that reduces the subscribers's broadband internet access service bill and at the conclusion of the benefit, the subscriber will be subject to the provider's general rates, terms, and conditions if the subscriber continues to subscribe to that broadband service.

 

 WHAT IS THE EMERGENCY BROADBAND BENEFIT PROGRAM?

This is a national FCC program to help households pay for internet service during the pandemic.

The program will provide a discount up to $49.95 per month towards broadband service for eligible households.

The Emergency Broadband Beneļ¬t is limited to one recurring service discount per household.

 

WHO IS ELIGIBLE FOR THE EMERGENCY BROADBAND BENEFIT PROGRAM?

If you currently qualify for the Federal Lifeline Program, you qualify for the Emergency Broadband Benefit Program. If not, household eligibility requirements are:

  • •  Receives benefits under the free and reduced-price school lunch program or the school breakfast program, including through the USDA Community Eligibility Provision, or did so in the 2019-2020 school year;

  • •  Received a Federal Pell Grant during the current award year;
  •  
  • •  Experienced a substantial loss of income since February 29, 2020, and the household had a total income in 2020 below $99,000 for single filers and $198,000 for joint filers.

HOW DO YOU SIGN UP FOR THE EMERGENCY BROADBAND BENEFIT PROGRAM?

There are three ways to apply for the Emergency Broadband Benefit Program.

1)  Online at https://www.getemergencybroadband.org

2)  Mail with USAC - Print an application (found at https://www.getemergencybroadband.org/_res/documents/EBB_Application_Form_FINAL.pdf) in English or Spanish (instructions also available in 8 additional languages). Complete the application and send with proof of eligibility to:

3)  Contact Volcano Communications Group - Or call 888-886-5226 during regular business hours. Volcano can help you apply through the on-line National Verifier or provide you with forms via email, U.S. mail postal service, or from our business office. 

 

AFTER YOU APPLY

 

After you submit your eligibility application, they will share the results with you. If you apply online, you may receive an immediate approval. If they cannot prove your eligibility automatically, they will request additional documentation from you and provide information on how you can submit those documents for review. Approval from the National Verifier does not enroll a customer in the EBB Program. You must then contact a Broadband Provider to enroll in the EBB Program.

 

ENROLL

Once USAC approves your eligibility application, you can chose a company that offers EBB Program discounts (including Volcano) and sign up for service. You can enroll with Volcano now by completing the EBB Consent form (you will need your National Verifier Confirmation number for the form), or you can search for other participating providers.
